Build systems
that run brands
SnapReel is building an AI-powered system that generates, schedules, and publishes content automatically. We're looking for a backend engineer who wants to work on real infrastructure — not surface-level features.
This is not a typical job
We are a team of two building SnapReel from scratch — an AI system that generates and publishes content automatically.
There are no layers, no managers, and no handoffs. You'll work directly on core backend systems that power the entire product.
You won't be assigned tasks — you'll own problems, figure things out, and ship solutions.
Things move fast. Priorities change. You'll need to adapt without waiting for instructions.
This is not a structured corporate role with defined tickets and long planning cycles.
This is not a place where someone will constantly guide you or review every step.
This is not for people who need stability, predictability, or detailed instructions.
If you prefer clear boundaries and slow-paced environments, this will feel uncomfortable.
"If you enjoy building real systems, taking ownership, and working without hand-holding — you'll fit right in."
Real systems
not feature work
You'll work on the core infrastructure that powers SnapReel — from AI pipelines to automation engines and distribution systems.
Handle script generation, scene building, and video orchestration using AI services and async workflows.
Design systems that automatically generate, schedule, and publish content across platforms.
Build APIs, queues, and services that can handle multiple brands running in parallel.
Work with third-party APIs like social platforms, messaging systems, and media services.
Things that are
not solved yet
Handling failures, retries, and consistency when generating scripts, scenes, and videos across multiple services.
Managing queues, workers, and background jobs without breaking flow or creating bottlenecks.
Ensuring multiple brands can generate and publish content simultaneously without performance issues.
Working with unstable external APIs (social platforms, media tools) and building proper fallbacks.
We don't hire for roles
we hire for thinking
Like building systems from scratch instead of maintaining existing ones.
Prefer ownership over task assignments.
Are comfortable making decisions without waiting for approval.
Think in terms of systems, not just code.
Need constant direction or detailed task breakdowns.
Prefer slow, predictable, structured environments.
Are uncomfortable with ambiguity or fast iteration.
Expect everything to already be defined.
We evaluate
signal, not steps
We look at how you break down problems, not how many technologies you list.
We care if you can take responsibility without waiting for instructions.
We prefer people who ship fast, learn fast, and adapt faster.
